If it feels slightly greasy on arrival just wipe it over with a paper towel. If you require additional products to upkeep and prolong the life of your solid wooden board/s we can recommend Furniture Clinic mineral oil which is what we use ourselves and can supply you with too. Please note that the piece of wood you are buying is unique, the grain and knots are entirely natural and are not seen as defects. Some boards may have small areas of wood filler to smooth out any knots or uneveness. This is unavoidable as the wood is so precious we do not throw any wood away, we would rather repair it. Colour and tones in each board will vary. No two will be alike.
